Canon PIXMA G3770: Specifications, Drivers, Advantages, Disadvantages and Latest Prices – Review of the Canon Pixma G3770 printer for home use for printing office documents and also college assignments. Even though nowadays many printers are often touted about the paperless era, many daily needs require printing documents. So, that’s why we are trying to review a printer that might be suitable for your daily needs.

The printer in question is the Canon PIXMA G3770, a multifunction device that can be used to print, scan and duplicate documents. From its function, it can be seen that the G3770 is suitable for home users, or even small-scale offices.

By design, the G3770 is shaped like other multifunction printers. The tray to accommodate the paper to be printed is on the back of the printer, then the top is filled by the document scanner, while the control buttons are on the front, including the screen.

On the front, apart from having a hole to remove the paper, there are also three transparent areas on the right and one on the left to see the remaining ink. Yes, the G3770 no longer uses cartridges to store ink, but instead uses an ink tank system that can be refilled.

This means that the ink is cheaper because users only need to buy refill ink provided by Canon. No need to buy cartridges anymore. The capacity of this ink tank is also larger than the cartridges usually used in printers.

Apart from the remaining ink being able to be seen visually from outside the printer, users can also see the remaining ink via software or via the available monochrome screen.

According to Canon, cyan, magenta and yellow ink can be used to print up to 7700 sheets, while black can print up to 6000 sheets, in standard mode. Meanwhile, photo printing can reach 2200 sheets at a size of 4×6 inches.

Filling the ink is also easy, just open the top cover of the printer and pour the ink from the bottle into the tank. Don’t worry, the system has been made in such a way that the ink doesn’t spill and the user can only pour ink into the right tank according to the color.

This printer has a maintenance cartridge (absorber) that users can easily replace themselves without having to take it to a service center first.

Canon PIXMA G3770 Has Wifi Printing

Yes, the G3770 can also be connected to a WiFi network at home (or office). So users no longer need to connect the printer to a laptop or PC using a USB cable (yes, you can if you want).

By connecting the printer to WiFi, users can print or scan documents using various devices connected to the same WiFi network. Not only PCs or laptops, you can also use tablets or cellphones, whether from Windows, macOS, Android or iOS.

In our tests, there was no need to install additional software if using Windows or macOS. Simply connect the printer to WiFi, and the G3770 will immediately appear in the printer selection on the desired device.

The document printing process is also fairly fast. For example, one black text document takes about 12 seconds, while color text takes 21 seconds. Then printing on A4 size photo paper with the highest resolution takes almost 4 minutes, and printing on 4×6 size photo paper takes around 1.5 minutes.

Meanwhile, for the duplication process, users simply place the document they want to duplicate on the scanner section above, and select the black or color duplication button.

The printing results are satisfactory. Black text looks thick and sharp, as does colored text which can produce bright colors. Photo printing results are also quite satisfactory, even though the G3770 is not a special photo printer that has very high resolution.

The Canon PIXMA G3770 is really suitable for home users who often print documents, especially in large quantities. This is because the ink tank system used makes printing costs cheaper.

Plus, this printer also functions as a document copyer and scanner. Its WiFi-enabled connectivity also makes installation easier, where users can place the printer anywhere as long as the WiFi signal reaches it. There is no longer a need to place the printer near a PC or laptop so that the USB cable can reach it.
