iPhone SE 4: Rumors of a New Design Similar to the iPhone 14

Exuce.com – The latest leak shows the design of the iPhone SE 4 which is more modern and similar to the iPhone 14. CAD renders shared by 91Mobiles show some significant changes from the iPhone SE 3.

Leaked CAD renders show the iPhone SE 4 with a 6.1-inch full screen, much larger than the 4.7-inch screen on the iPhone SE 3. This marks a significant change in the design of the iPhone SE, which has been known for its smaller screen.

The loss of the iPhone SE’s iconic Home button is a consequence of the larger screen. Instead, the iPhone SE 4 is predicted to use Face ID for biometric authentication, like the iPhone 14.

The render also shows a notch at the top of the screen to house the front camera and TrueDepth sensor. In addition, the iPhone SE 4 is predicted to have four flat sides, following modern iPhone design trends.

The dimensions of the iPhone SE 4 are predicted to be around 147mm x 71.5mm x 7.7mm, not much different from the iPhone 14 (146.7mm x 71.5mm x 7.8mm).

Bigger Screen and Missing Home Button

The new design of the iPhone SE 4 is predicted to have a full screen measuring 6.1 inches, much larger than the 4.7 inch screen on the iPhone SE 3. To accommodate the larger screen, the iPhone SE’s iconic Home button has been removed.

Notch and Face ID

The renders show the iPhone SE 4 will have a notch at the top of the display to house the front camera and TrueDepth sensor for Face ID.

Flat Sides and Dimensions

Just like modern iPhones, the iPhone SE 4 is predicted to have four flat sides. The dimensions are predicted to be around 147mm x 71.5mm x 7.7mm, not much different from the iPhone 14 (146.7mm x 71.5mm x 7.8mm).

Rear Camera and USB-C Port

On the back, the iPhone SE 4 still appears to have one camera. It is not yet known whether Apple will use a 12 MP camera like the iPhone SE 3 or upgrade to a more modern version.

Another significant change is the use of a USB-C port at the bottom, following the same standard as the iPhone 15 series.

Uncertainty and Launch Rumors

This render does not show the presence of an Action Button or mute switch near the volume buttons, raising questions about its accuracy.

Apple last released the iPhone SE in 2022 with a design similar to the iPhone 8. Previous rumors said the iPhone SE 4 would be released in 2025, although development was temporarily stopped in April 2023 according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo.

The iPhone SE 4 design leak shows significant changes with a larger screen, Face ID, and a USB-C port. Although there is no official confirmation from Apple yet, this leak gives an idea of what the next generation iPhone SE might look like.
